Kedai Makanan Laut Hai Ung. Food in Kuala Selangor

On 23rd Jan took my family to Kuala Selangor wanting to run away from KL because of the traffic. Started our journey about 11am through Sg Buluh. The journey seems fine until almost reaching Kuala Selangor we were stuck in a traffic jam. Thinking that maybe it could just be an accident or a car broke down. Follow the traffic until we realized that there were cars park on the left and right side of the road and we could see people carrying "Kavadi". Hahahaha.

We finally reached Kuala Selangor about 1.30pm and it's lunch time. Not knowning where to eat we just followed the sign boards. The place we ended up is "Kedai Makanan Laut Hai Ung". To get there pass the bridge and about 1km you'll come up to the first traffic light from here turn left go straight and turn left. About 150 meters turn right this is where you'll see sign boards with lots of names of restaurants, just follow the road which seems like it's going to no where. About 5 minutes drive you'll find,

This place is quite big, i think they can serve up to 50 tables. This place seems to be halal as i could see some muslim people sitting and eating there. We took the table at the furtherst corner of the place. From here you could get a great view of Sg Selangor river and the residents along the river.

Hunger was too much for us (My 4 year old son, my wife and myself) we proceeded to order our food. We ordered steam fish (sorry can't remember the name of fish,

Next dish is the deep fried mantis prawn.

Next dish is the mix vegetable with tofu,

The last dish is the sweet and sour prawn,

As for the taste we do find the food to be quite good especially for the fried mantis prawn. But we find the steam fish a bit too tough.

Now come the price, the whole 4 dishes cost us RM78. Price is some what of KL price but the experience of going out with my family and spending time together is priceless.
